New Generation: High performance tube fittings. The new, chromium6-free fitting generation from Parker Ermeto is called EO-Plus for metallic sealed connections, EO2-Plus for Dry Technology systems and EO2-FORM for formed tube soft-sealed systems without cutting rings. The new generation is characterised by maximum safety even under extreme pressures of up to 800 bar nominal pressure.
The further development of the proven Dry Technology EO-2 concept is designated EO2-Plus and gives extremely high pressure ratings and greatly reduced tightening torques for the larger fitting sizes. EO2-FORM is the new high pressure tube connection from Parker Ermeto. This concept unites the advantages of welded connections with those of EO-2 technology proven worldwide in millions of applications.
The New Generation from Parker Ermeto clearly exceeds the performance requirements of DIN/ISO standards: with its guaranteed 4-fold design factor, the new fitting generation can be used at the following nominal pressures in steel:
This extraordinary pressure and assembly performance can only be achieved by the use of even better and more resistant materials in combination with a special coating of individual components. This greatly extends the application range and the user does not have to sacrifice any advantages. Thanks to the higher pressure levels, less expensive “L” series fittings can now be used instead of the heavier “S” series.

Parker’s triple-lok 37° flare tube fittings have been used in industry since mr. Parker pioneered the product in the 1930s. The 37° flare fitting is the most popular industrial tube/hose fitting connection in the world. Today, parker offers a broad range of triple-lok fittings meeting sae j514, iso 8434-2 and military standards and specifications. The triple-lok design is quite simple. The tube fitting consists of three pieces: the body, the nut and the sleeve. The tube end is flared at a mating 37° angle and sandwiched between the fitting nose (seat) and the sleeve creating an effective seal between the fitting nose and tube flare or hose. Parker’s triple-lok fittings are manufactured in steel, 316 stainless steel and brass for optimum fluid compatibility and corrosion resistance. Furthermore, available sizes range from 1/8" tube o. D. To 2" tube o. D. In several configurations. Adaptability to global ports is another key benefit of triple-lok. (standard ports include: sae, straight thread iso-6149, npt, bspt, bspp and din. ) The triple-lok tube fitting is also readily available for metric tubing and hose adapter applications. Simply by changing the industry standard sleeve, the same triple-lok body can be adapted to metric tubing in sizes ranging from 6 mm tube o. D. To 38 mm tube o. D. Likewise, by using only the body without the nut and sleeve, the triple-lok fitting is used as an industry standard hose adapter.

Approximately65% lighter than comparable steel and stainless steel fittings,Parker aluminum fittings provide considerable weight savings. When utilized in mobile hydraulic systems, lighter weight aluminum fittings reduce the overall vehicle weight, making an increase in vehicle payload possible. And lightweight aluminum fittings offer the added benefits of reduced fuel expenses and freight costs. Parker’s aluminum fittings are manufactured with an anodized coating for improved corrosion resistance.
This resistance to corrosion is superior to that of comparable steel fittings, making Parker aluminum fittings ideal for many different applications where lightweight construction – as well as high corrosion resistance – is needed. Simple system conversion Designing Parker’s aluminum fittings into an existing system is simple. Parker’s Triple-Lok (JIC) and Seal-Lok (ORFS) fittings meet the dimensional standards for SAE J514 and SAE J1453 respectively. No system re-design is necessary and conversion costs are minimized. Available in sizes -4 (1/4") through -16 (1"), the maximum working pressures range from 1500 psi to 3800 psi for Triple-Lok (JIC) and from 1500 psi to 4000 psi for Seal-Lok (ORFS) aluminum fitting.
Major Benefits:
Lightweight Up to 65% lighter than comparable steel and stainless steel fittings, reducing energy and freight expenses, as well as increasing vehicle payload.Superior corrosion resistance Superior corrosion resistance to salt spray than comparable steel fittings (per ASTM B117) for longer service.
Easy design implementation Meets dimension standards for SAE J514 (37° Flare) and SAE J1453 (O-ring Face Seal) fittings, eliminating system re-design and minimizing conversion costs.
Superior seal retention in O-ring Face Seal groove Parker’s patented Trap-Seal, with its trapezoidal shape, prevents seal pop out associated with round o-rings, reducing the risk of seal damage and leakage.
Superior seal reliability of adjustable SAE port ends Parker’s patented Robust Port Stud eliminates the existence of exposed threads between the locknut and backup washer, which can lead to backup washer damage during assembly and eventual leaks.

Parker Hannifin, the world leader in drive and control technologies, has opened near Bielefeld a new technology and manufacturing center for high-quality piping connection systems. In this "Complete Piping Solution Center" (CPS Center), design solutions are developed for creating piping connection systems which find application in machinery construction, vehicle manufacture and shipbuilding, wind power and many other market segments. CPS Centers are already in operation in the USA, Norway and South Korea and there are plans for more locations in the Asia region. As the latest link in this chain, the operation in August dorf, near Bielefeld, belongs organizationally to the Tube Fittings Division Europe (TFDE), which has its headquarters in Bielefeld-Windelsbleiche.
Furthermore, this new CPS Center is situated in strategically favorable proximity to Parker''s central warehouse for Europe in Bielefeld-Oldentrup; this is the central hub for the warehousing and despatch of all Parker products throughout the whole of Europe. Under the world-famous brand name "Ermeto", classical DIN and SAE standard hydraulic connection systems, up to outside tube diameters of 42 mm (2 inches), are produced by the manufacturing locations of the Parker Tube Fittings Division Europe.
This new CPS Center represents an important addition to the core business. It is here that large-size pipes and flanges are designed, manufactured, connected into a complete system, delivered straight to the assembly point and finally assembled, all in accordance with customer requirements. Demand is increasing for comprehensive system solutions which go beyond the manufacture of individual component parts to include the important benefits arising from advisory services for the design, manufacture and installation of hydraulic piping systems.
From the customers'' viewpoint, their machinery is becoming ever more powerful and equipment manufacturers are under more pressure than ever from increasing costs and safety requirements. Equally important to manufacturers is the demand for space-saving hydraulic piping systems. With its new CPS Centers, Parker offers this in-demand service and can satisfy ever-increasing needs.
At the start of a project, Parker''s systems engineers establish the customer''s requirements and then on the basis of this, develop an application-specific pipe layout design complete with drawings and documentation.
After the customer''s approval, the pipes, with outside diameters up to 220 mm, are coldformed on the latest CNC bending machines. These enable bending radii of 2xD to 3xD to be achieved, depending on requirement. The finish-machined and cleaned pipes are then assembled in accordance with the customer''s requirements and delivered to the Parker central warehouse for onward dispatch.
If the customer requires, Parker experts will undertake the assembly, flushing out and final acceptance of the piping system. This kind of support from Parker gives customers the opportunity to significantly reduce their own personnel resources and thus save costs. So the Complete Piping Solutions concept constitutes a comprehensive system which in the fields of machinery construction, vehicle making and shipbuilding, as well as offshore applications, shows strong demand and has been widely applied. The customer of course will decide whether to take up the complete solution of have Parker carry out, for example, only the design or assembly. Customers and users can rely not only on the experience and expert know-how of Parker''s systems engineers and technicians, but also increase their productivity and significantly reduce design times.

| Weld Nipple fittings Principle :- weld nipple fittings with an O-ring seal between weld nipple and fitting body give impressive tear out resistance and sealing integrity. Weld nipples SKA conform with DIN 3865 form A. Fitting bodies and nuts are fully interchangeable for weld nipple and for 2/progressive ring fittings of the same series and external tube diameter. Materials and surface protection: Steel phosphated and oiled, O-ring of NBR (e.g. Perbunan). Stainless steel 1.4571, O-ring of FPM (e.g. Viton) Welding suitability and weldability Weld nipples, tube bend weld nipples and ASK types made of steel are weldable according. to usual techniques. Types made of 1.4571 (stainless) are suitable for arc welding. The welding filler should be selected in accordance with DIN 8556 part 1 with consideration of the type of application and the welding technique. Tube recommendation We recommend the use of tubes in steel and stainless steel as illustrated in this catalogue. Nominal Pressure (PN) of complete weld nipple fittings The nominal working pressure (PN) of a complete weld nipple fitting is dependant upon the least rated component, i.e. tube, weld nipple or fitting. The component out of these three with the lowest rated pressure or working pressure determines the nominal pressure (PN) of the complete fitting. |
Permissible temperature range For weld nipples, tube bends with weld nipples and ASK types of steel with O-rings of 1. NBR (e.g. Perbunan): –35°C to + 100°C 2. FPM (e.g.viton): –25°C to + 200°C without pressure reductions For temperature range and necessary pressure reductions for weld nipples, weld nipple fittings and ASK types of 1.4571, see corresponding page. Fitting assembly 1. Cut off the tube square, deburr and bevel the end of the tube in conformance with DIN 2559. 2. Slide nut onto the weld nipple. 3. Weld nipple to the tube according to normal welding procedure. The tube and nipple must be aligned. Before welding, please remove the nut. 4. Dress the weld on the inside and outside. 5. Fit the O-ring without twisting. The taper, the nut and the cone must all be clean. 6. Oil the nut, taper and cone and thread before assembly 7. Screw on the nut by hand. Fully tighten using a spanner with 1/4 to 1/2 turns. Make sure that the tube with the weld nipple is assembled straight and without in built stress. |

The new EO-3® tube fitting system from Parker Hannifin Corporation, global in motion and control technologies, utilizes new thread technology and a unique marking system to decrease installation time and cut down on tube system leaks due to improper installation. In contrast to Parker EO and EO-2 DIN standard fittings, the EO-3 system is based on a 24-degree inner cone with an integrated soft seal and cone-shaped connecting thread that improves sealing compatibility. In addition, when a yellow signal ring is aligned, the installer can immediately see that the fitting has been installed correctly. Because of these features, EO-3 fittings can be installed considerably more quickly than conventional fitting systems. The EO-3 installation does not require a torque wrench or a wrench extension. For ease of installation in tight construction spaces, EO-3 fittings use an octagonal screw nut in tube sizes 25 mm and up instead of a standard hexagonal screw nut. The new EO-3 system is being demonstrated in the Parker exhibit at IFPE 2014, booth S-80440. EO-3 fittings meet the demands of applications that require both flexible hose connections and rigid tube work. They can link to existing EO-2 connections using an adapter, meaning that old fittings can be converted or upgraded at little additional cost.
The EO-3 Fitting system can be used in Applications such as:

Parker Hannifin, the world leader in drive and control technologies, has opened near Bielefeld a new technology and manufacturing center for high-quality piping connection systems. In this "Complete Piping Solution Center" (CPS Center), design solutions are developed for creating piping connection systems which find application in machinery construction, vehicle manufacture and shipbuilding, wind power and many other market segments. CPS Centers are already in operation in the USA, Norway and South Korea and there are plans for more locations in the Asia region. As the latest link in this chain, the operation in Augustdorf, near Bielefeld, belongs organisationally to the Tube Fittings Division Europe (TFDE), which has its headquarters in Bielefeld-Windelsbleiche.
Furthermore, this new CPS Center is situated in strategically favourable proximity to Parker''s central warehouse for Europe in Bielefeld-Oldentrup; this is the central hub for the warehousing and despatch of all Parker products throughout the whole of Europe.
The finish-machined and cleaned pipes are then assembled in accordance with the customer''s requirements and delivered to the Parker central warehouse for onward despatch.

Phastite® for Pipe Connection System Parker Phastite Tube Fittings Non-Welded Connection System Phastite® for pipe is a breakthrough in pipe connection technology. Its innovative design combines fast installation with a simple assembly process to achieve permanent non-welded, leak-free connections quickly and easily.
When accounting for the total throughput time, a Phastite connection can be fabricated in just minutes, compared to the hours required for welded connections. What’s more, Phastite reduces overall post-welding inspection time and costs by eliminating nondestructive examination (NDE) such as radiography/X-ray and even liquid dye penetrant.
A versatile system, Phastite for pipe is:
Well suited for hydraulic, water and water/glycol, lubrication and other media
Compatible with NPS/IPS schedule pipes sizes 3/4", 1", 1-1/2" and 2"
Able to withstand pressures up to 10,000 psi/700 bar
Designed to perform at subsea depths of 15,000 feet
Meets requirements of ASME B31.1 and B31.3
Tested in accordance with ASTM F1387
DNV RP-A203 Technical
Qualification Program Certificate Mechanical pipe joining technology for high pressure systems operating at 4500-6000 psi is generally limited to sizes up to 3/4". This systemic shortfall is attributed to both tube and threaded fitting limitations. Such limitations have required customers to typically weld heavy schedule pipe in the 3/4" to 2" range. Welding introduces complexity, time and potential hazards for high-pressure hydraulic systems. Phastite for Pipe fills the gap between high-pressure threaded tube fittings and butt weld pipe connections.
Phastite for pipe uses a patent-pending sealing technology to provide permanent connections to off-theshelf schedule pipe. The robust design ensures a leak-free performance in even the most demanding hydraulic and gas applications, while assembly can be completed quickly and easily. After a series of fast inspection and pipe-marking guidelines, Phastite fittings are axially swaged to the pipe using a bench-mounted Parker Phastool 100. Once the collar is fully locked to the fitting body, it will not disengage – offering a permanent connection solution in just minutes!
Phastite for pipe offers greater overall efficiency with its impressive reduction of installation time. A typical complete pipe weld for 1" to 2" heavy schedule pipe (sch 160/XXS) may require many weld passes and commonly demands more than an hour for total fabrication.
In the same amount of time, as many as eight Phastite connections can be made. This radically improves the piping fabrication efficiency. Extending across multiple days and welders/fitters, piping projects can be dramatically streamlined. Phastite for pipe also allows for more consistent labor planning as fabrication times between pipe schedules are virtually the same. Further standardizing operation, one Phastool machine can be used throughout the range of schedule pipe sizes.Virtually every industrial and oil and gas performance requirement has been considered in the development and validation process. Phastite meets or exceeds typical SAE/ ISO performance requirements for mechanically attached fittings, as well as maintains both a fluidand gas-tight seal throughout an exhaustive battery of application specific performance tests. Subjected to corrosion tests well beyond the traditional intensity, Phastite has passed SCC, Splash Zone and HISC tests to ensure proven durability.
Hydraulic systems in oil and gas applications carry stringent performance requirements. Knowing Phastite achieves compliance in these applications translates to worry-free operation across other industries.

Design criteria require any fitting to achieve two functions – it must both seal against leaks and mechanically hold against system pressure. Unlike flare fittings which achieve both functions at the flare, flareless fittings are more complex. Sealing must be achieved at a minimum of two points (more in the case of two ferrules). First, a line contact seal must be "coined" between the contact point of the ferrule and the internal body seat. Second, a "bite" seal deep enough to penetrate surface scratches on the tube, must be established between the ferrule and the tube. Mechanical holding power is achieved by the "bite" into the tube causing displaced metal to be pushed up into a "wall" ahead of the bite.
This "wall" prevents the tube from blowing out. The amount of force that is acting to push the tube out is calculated by multiplying system pressure by the cross section area of the tube. For example, blowout force on a 1/2" OD tube at 1000 psi static pressure is 197 lbs. Note that in the SAE flareless fitting, the bite is just as effective on a solid bar as it is on the medium to heavy wall tubing for which it was designed. Compare this to light duty instrumentation fittings (one or two ferrule) which rely on mechanical swaging of the tube for holding power. In these fittings, as the wall thickness increases, less swaging action is possible making such fittings unsuitable for heavy wall tubing and high pressures.
